Good evening everyone. It's been a little while since I had first posted and thought it be time for an update.

I had been getting ready to get back to beading and getting some tutorials out. I have a couple of bracelets that I have made and I'm super excited about showing you all how to make. They are so pretty and simple to make!

This one I haven't a name yet for

This one is called simply X marks the spot

Now to the not so fun parts of what has been going on. My family for the last few weeks have really been hit hard with health issues and I was one of them.

About a week ago I was having some ear and throat pain. I didn't think it was serious so I never went to the Dr or was able to make it to be honest. Sunday June 4th is when it started and by that Monday night around 9:30pm I was in the hospital running high fevers and with my right side of my neck swollen and I couldn't breathe. It was horrible. They took blood work and CT scans to find out I had a really bad infection in my right tonsil. I was also told I was lucky that I had gotten there when I did. It was that bad. I hadn't drank since early Sunday night. I was dehydrated, potassium was really low and my CBC blood count was really high.
This was the first time in the hospital. It was horrible

They thought that treating it with meds would do the trick and did for a minute. I was in there until Wen evening. They all thought I was getting better and so did I. Well by Thursday Morning around 9am... I wasn't able to breathe hardly and my throats was worse. They ran more blood work and more CT scans. They seen the the infection was worse and it was life and death at this moment. I had to have emergency surgery at this time. To make a long story short... yes I know it's already long. They did the surgery and found that it was the size of a softball and thought that if they couldn't get the breathing tubes in I would have to have a tube in my throat ( can't spell it) to breathe while they was doing the surgery. They didn't have to thank God!
After about 45 minutes of getting me ready and in the OR room. I was on my way to recovery. Things went good and had to start another couple of days in there. I came home Saturday and doing well now. But it was very scary and I really didn't think I was going to make it and a lot of other's didn't either.

God Is faithful and still found favor in my site and help me through it! I am still here of course because I'm writing this.... Yes I have a sense of humor because that is the only way I know how to get through things other than trusting in God. I'm on the mend and ready to get back to crafting and making some beautiful Jewelry and things!  God has a way of showing us our need for him in way only we will understand. Sometimes we only show our need for him and his love... is when life is hard and we have no one else. It's sad really. Then there are times that we need things like this to happen so we understand the love of God. Yes I know this may not set well with others but It's how I look at it and how I see it... Just like when Job went through all he did. God knew he was faithful and would walk out holding his hands high praising him.

Life is too short to sit and listen to people talk BS, to worry about bills that are not in yet or things that have not happen yet or won't. Just because we are scared. I say in closing... Trust in God, Let all things and people go that are not good for you or to you. Let God be who he is and what he is. That is the healer, saver, lover of all things he has created! Everything else... well Will fall in line or fall away!

Thank you for taking the time to read and to leave your comments :D It means so much to me. Just hope I can help encourage and inspire someone today and everyday!

Thanks and love,
Misty

Good Evening everyone! So this is my first post on my blog. I thought I would start it out by introducing myself to you all.

First my name is Misty Blackburn... I'm a mother of 3 beautiful kids, A Daughter Autumn that is 22 years old a son that is 11 years old and another son that is 10 months old. I have been married to my wonderful husband now for 15 years September 28. I'm a stay at home mom/work from home mom. I make jewelry to sell out of my home that way I can still make money to contribute to our home and still raise my kids. We, My husband and I choose for this lifestyle since our son was 6 months old. We felt it better that I raise our babies instead of someone else doing it. As I say that I must be clear on something. There is nothing wrong with Women working, Sometimes women don't have a choice. Just thought I needed to put that out there for you. I don't want anyone to think that I feel it is wrong. No need to start things off on the wrong foot now do we! Anyway as I was saying..I enjoy working from home as it is new to me. I have always worked outside the home since I was young. My Momma started training me in the medical field when I was 12 years old. I helped her take care of a young woman that now has passed on. She was bed written, Couldn't see, talk, walk or hear very well. She was fed with a tube and breathed through a Trach... She really had a rough start in life. But that is how I started working and my passion for helping young men and women started there. I worked in the medical field for sometime. I took care of my Momma that suffered with COPD and passed 11 years ago this June 16th. Then took care of my Older sister that had cancer until she passed the following year in July. My daddy was the next I took care of until he past 2 years ago from complications of Alzheimer's. It was a long struggle for them all and I was blessed and Honored to be there to help them and take care of them. Now I do nothing but take care of my kids, Hubby and make my jewelry. I am a recovering Alcoholic. I drank from very early age until 5 years ago when I stopped. That was and still is one day that I will always be proud of. It was a long battle for me and something I tried to hide from my friends and most of my family. It was the best thing I could have ever done was to stop and become the Woman God has always intended for me to be.

As I have said I love making Jewelry but I also do other crafts as well.. but Beaded Jewelry is where my heart is and something I love doing!
Floating necklace with a rhinestone heart as a focal

Purple is one of my favorite colors so this cross necklace is one of my favorite pieces.

It started as a hobby for me then turned into a little business, Where people was taking notice and looking for unique and custom jewelry. Something that was very nice and reasonable priced. I take pride in what I make and I hope it shows in the pieces that I present to people. I enjoy selling my products in crafts shows as well. It's one of the ways I have gotten my name out there and also my page I have on Facebook called Mac Jewelry. ( Misty and Christy Creations) I also do Tutorial on my Youtube channel that is a lot of fun to do as well.

I also love doing paper craft and have come a long way from where I started! I enjoy challenges and that is what paper crafting does for me. Not that making jewelry doesn't but it's in a different way.
A card I made for my son teacher made with some purple lace

I tried my hand at mixed media and I really enjoy it

These are just a couple pieces that I'm very proud of. I enjoy many different kinds of crafts and I learn everyday. I have learnt from some wonderful people. Some I still follow today and enjoy watching them create.

I wanted to start a blog to share my thoughts, what I create and much more with everyone and something I have wanted to do for some time now. Just either never had the time or didn't make the time. Life gets so hectic anymore and I'm sure you all can relate to that. I hope you have enjoyed this introduction of me. If there is anything you want to know please feel free to ask and I will do my best at answering. Thank you for taking the time to read my first blog and I look forward to posting more!

Thanks!!
